What Is Acupuncture?

Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that the body contains over 2,000 acupuncture points connected by 14 meridian channels that help the energy flow throughout the body through energy pathways. In an acupuncture session, Dr. Genitempo will place thin, metallic needles in specific acupuncture points to help regulate the body's autonomic nervous system. These needles are placed at specific acupuncture points (pressure points) along the neck or back, which helps stimulate the release of endorphins and other natural hormones. These healing chemicals help stimulate the circulatory and central nervous systems, relieving painful symptoms of migraines.
