-
Dry needling is a modern acupuncture technique that involves inserting thin, sterile needles directly into myofascial trigger points—tight bands or “knots” in muscles that can cause pain, restriction, or referred discomfort.
Despite the clinical name, dry needling is rooted in traditional acupuncture principles and is performed exclusively by licensed acupuncturists in our office who specialize in sports acupuncture and orthopedic rehab.
Unlike injection-based procedures, dry needling uses no medications—just the needle itself (hence the term "dry"). The technique stimulates a local healing response, improves blood flow, and helps reset the nervous system's response to pain and dysfunction.
